How to read the seating map, get to the venue, prepare for entry, and avoid common first-time mistakes. Venue facts last checked October 1, 2026.
Gocheok Sky Dome is a baseball stadium that hosts concerts, and there is no single fixed concert seating chart. Stage position, floor seating and entrances can change from one show to the next. This guide explains what is true of the venue in general, and what you must check on your own concert’s official notice.
Event-specific rules always come from your concert’s organizer and ticket seller, not from this page.
Gocheok Sky Dome: What International Visitors Should Know
Where is Gocheok Sky Dome?
The dome is at 430 Gyeongin-ro, Guro-gu, Seoul. Visit Seoul’s official listing gives the subway reference point as Line 1, Guil Station, Exit 2, about 330 m from the venue.
Why concert seating changes by event
Concerts can add floor seating, a main stage, extended stages, production platforms and camera positions. They can also close off some areas and place restricted-view seats. The same permanent seat can face the stage very differently depending on where the stage is built.
Official capacity figures also differ by source. The venue operator, Seoul Facilities Corporation (SFC), lists 16,601 spectator seats. Visit Seoul lists 18,000 stand seats and a capacity of 20,200 for cultural events. Treat these as source-specific numbers, not a guaranteed count for your concert.
How to Read a Gocheok Sky Dome Concert Seating Map
| Term | Meaning | What you must verify |
|---|---|---|
| Floor / Field | Temporary seating or zones set up on the baseball field for that production. | It may be physically closest, but check whether it is seated or standing, plus its block, row and distance from the stage. |
| Fixed Stands | The stadium’s permanent seating around the field. | Where the stage is built changes how close and how angled the same seat feels. |
| Upper Levels | Higher permanent seating. | Height can give a wider overview, but quality and distance can’t be judged without your event’s map. |
| Restricted View | Seats where staging, screens or equipment may block part of the view. | Only treat a seat as restricted if the organizer or ticket seller labels it that way. Being behind or beside the stage doesn’t automatically mean a restricted view. |
| Gate / Entrance | The entry route assigned to your ticket. | Follow the gate on your ticket or the official event instructions, not a generic stadium gate guide. |
How to Check Your Concert’s Official Seating Map

- Open the official event notice. Use the organizer’s notice and the official ticket-platform page, and get the stage layout from there.
- Compare the stage and floor layout. Look at how the main stage and any extended stage connect, and whether your area is on the field or in the stands.
- Match your section, row and seat. Locate the section on your ticket within the full map.
- Look for restricted-view or production notes. Check whether the seller flags your area.
- Confirm your assigned entrance. Gate assignments are event-specific, so check yours before the day.
Getting to Gocheok Sky Dome
Subway: Guil Station, Line 1
Take Line 1 to Guil Station and leave by Exit 2, then follow event signs and staff to your assigned gate. Check live service status and your own route on the day.

Tip: As of October 2026, we could not confirm reliable walking directions on Google Maps in Korea. For the walk from Guil Station, use Naver Map or KakaoMap.
Why public transport is usually the practical starting point
SFC says general parking is unavailable during baseball games and events. It recommends public transport or nearby parking, and warns that surrounding roads and post-event vehicle departures can be heavily congested.
What to check before you leave
- Performance start time and your entry time (event notices are usually in Korean time, KST)
- The last train from Guil Station and any transfer station
- An alternative plan if your route is disrupted
Parking at Gocheok Sky Dome
General parking during events
SFC’s car guidance says general parking is not available during baseball games and events. If you must drive, check your event notice and the terms of any nearby parking for that date.
What the published parking rate does not mean
SFC lists a general tariff of KRW 1,800 per hour. That is a standard rate, not confirmation that you can park there on concert day.
Concert Entry for International Visitors
Ticketing and entry rules are set by each concert’s organizer and ticket seller, not by the building. Read the notice for your exact event.
ID and passport
Not every concert asks for ID. Bring the document the notice specifies, and make sure the name matches your booking where a check applies.
Foreign credit cards
Acceptance depends on the ticket platform’s payment system. Check the named platform before the sale starts.
Korean phone number and SMS verification
App login, mobile tickets and verification can differ by platform. Find out before buying.
Mobile tickets and screenshots
Use the format the seller specifies. Don’t assume a screenshot will be accepted.
On-site ticket pickup
Whether pickup exists, and where, when and how, varies by event. Use only the information in your notice.
Name matching and transfers
Resale, transfer and identity-check rules are set per event. Read them before buying.
Accessibility
Visit Seoul lists accessible parking and elevators among the venue’s facilities. Accessible-seat availability, companion policy and entry arrangements are not confirmed for every concert, so ask the organizer before purchase.
What to Check Before Concert Day
This is an editorial checklist, not an official procedure.
| Item | What to check |
|---|---|
| Ticket and ID | Platform, ticket format (mobile or paper), and any ID required. |
| Seat and map | Your section on the official event map, your gate, and any restricted-view note. |
| Entry | Arrival time, your entry start time, and queue location. |
| Items and food | The concert’s own rules on food, drinks, bags and lightsticks. Do not apply baseball rules. |
| Merchandise | Sales hours and whether a separate queue or reservation applies. |
| Transport | Last train, route to your accommodation, and a backup option. |
Common Mistakes at Gocheok Sky Dome Concerts
| Mistake | Why it is risky | What to do instead |
|---|---|---|
| Using another concert’s seating chart | Stage layout and temporary floor blocks change by event. | Use the map attached to your own event’s official page. |
| Using the baseball map as a concert map | Concert audience areas and entry routes are configured differently. | Use the baseball map only to understand the building. |
| Assuming Floor means standing | Floor areas may be seated or standing depending on the event. | Confirm in the event notice. |
| Assuming the same gate every time | Gates can change by event and ticket block. | Follow the gate on your ticket or notice. |
| Assuming foreign cards or a foreign phone number will work | These are platform rules, not venue rules. | Check the ticket seller’s notice before buying. |
| Applying baseball food rules to a concert | Visit Seoul’s detailed food and drink wording is about professional baseball. | Follow your concert organizer’s item policy. |
| Booking a tightly timed pickup after the show | SFC warns of heavy congestion and delayed vehicle departures after events. | Leave generous time and prefer public transport where possible. |
After the Concert: Planning Your Way Home
Expect crowds and delays
SFC warns that many vehicles leaving at once can substantially delay departures. Don’t plan a tightly timed trip home.
Check the last train before the concert
Look up the last train for your route, including transfers, before you go.
Keep your accommodation address available
Save your accommodation’s address in Korean on your phone, in case your data connection is poor.
Have a backup plan
Know a second route or option in case your first choice is delayed, and allow extra time for it.
